A Demo Reel is an interesting beast.
They are your fingerprint within a saturated industry that showcases your range & versatility when given the space to explore scripts. You want to be able to show your accents, your characters you've worked hard on, your unique perspectives - but often times Casting Directors just want to hear you.
My name is Thomas Mitchells. A Director/Actor who has worked in the realm of Voice Over for almost 10 years now. I have learned from both sides of the microphone that this industry works on two humors: Authenticity & Plausibility.
Allow me to work with you and your Demo Producer to conjure a performance that will ultimately demonstrate to Casting Directors, Agents or Clients how you act and how you breathe in each individual space.

Yes, for a fee, I can listen to your reels and provide pinpoint feedback that identifies areas of your Demo Reel that could be improved. This can be done as a surgery session where we have a call and listen to your reel together - or I can provide detailed written feedback.
Welcome to the beginning of your Voice Acting career! People become Voice Actors via various means and some will have more acting experience than others based upon their backgrounds. A Demo Reel should be the best representation of yourself making confident, conscious choices that make you desirable for potential opportunities. Ensure you give yourself enough time to hone your acting skills before recording a Reel. There is no need to rush things - the better you can apply a certain skill set, the better chance you have of thriving.
I don't write bespoke scripts for actors but can offer amendments and changes to scripts should there be a better read. Some producers provide scripts for you, others do not and you'd need to provide your own. Do your research and decide how you want to plan your reels.
No. I do not provide production services. My services compliment those of Producers and Engineers who do not direct themselves and have far more experience with Audio Production and Design.
Whilst hiring a producer is the best foot forward to getting a polished reel, they have the appropriate kit and experience after all! I do appreciate that cost-effective methods are necessary in the expensive world we live in. In which case, yes I can direct you from your Home Studio or a hired studio if you are not willing to fork out for a full production package because let's face it...those bills need to be paid!
Please don't be under the assumption that hiring me as a director for your reel will get you closer to getting work from me. Hire me if you want your most authentic self brought out in recording and have fun doing it. Not as a networking exercise!
